product management
The Product Management module is used to maintain basic product information required for quotation, proposal design, purchasing, inventory, project construction, omni-channel mall and after-sales service. Enterprises can establish their own product data through cloud product library import, batch Excel template import, or manual addition, and further maintain product images, categories, brands, CAD icons, price systems, inventory attributes, and mall visibility ranges.
The core goal of product management is to enable enterprises to have a unified, accurate, and reusable set of product information. The more standardized the product information is, the smoother the subsequent quotation, contract, purchasing, inventory, project shipment and channel mall display will be.
overall business process
Cloud import process
Cloud import is suitable for quickly initializing mainstream brand product information. After the enterprise selects a brand from the cloud product library, the system will import the brand product data into the enterprise product library for use in proposal quotations, contracts, purchasing, inventory and other services.
Excel batch import process
Batch Excel import is suitable for scenarios where the enterprise already has a product list and needs to maintain a large number of its own products or non-cloud brand products at one time. It is recommended to use WPS to open the template and embed product images and multi-attribute data according to the template requirements.
Multi-attribute product maintenance process
Multi-attribute products are used in scenarios where the same product has a combination of attributes such as color, specification, length, power, version, etc. After batch import, if there are differences in price, pictures, coding or inventory management methods between different attribute items, you can continue to edit the different attribute items in product management and quickly modify them in batches.
Tier Price and Visibility Range Process
Level prices are used to maintain multiple sets of channel prices. After a customer is bound to a corresponding level, the sales order and omni-channel mall will automatically apply the level channel price corresponding to the customer. Visibility range is used to control which products can be seen by different users in the omnichannel mall.
Submodule description
product management
Product management is the core workspace for maintaining product information, supporting cloud import, batch Excel template import, and manual addition of products. Product information can be used for quotations, contracts, solution design, purchasing, inventory, project shipments, after-sales and omni-channel malls.
The product supports the following business attributes:
| Capability | Description |
|---|---|
| SN serial number management | Suitable for products that need to be tracked by device serial number, and can be used for inbound, outbound, and after-sales traceability |
| Batch management | Suitable for products with changes in purchase price and need to record costs by batch |
| decimal quantity | After the unit, check "Measurement quotation quantity supports decimals", which is suitable for products such as wires, pipes, and areas that require decimal quotations. |
| Package products | Supports combining multiple products into packages for quick quotation or standardized sales |
| Accessory fees | Support setting quotation without counting the cost of attachments to avoid attachments affecting main product quotation statistics |
| No discount | Support setting products not to participate in discounts to ensure stable prices for special products or low-margin products |
| Not shown in point map | Supports setting products not to be displayed in the spot map, suitable for auxiliary materials, service items or products that do not need to be displayed in a location |
Product pictures
Product images are used to show the appearance of the product and can be used in quotations, plans, malls, product libraries and sales displays. When importing in batches in Excel, you can copy product pictures to the "Product Pictures" column and embed them into cells in batches and import them with the template.
It is recommended to have clear pictures, concise backgrounds, and standardized naming to facilitate customer identification and sales display.
Product Category
Product categories are used for structured management of products, such as smart lighting, smart security, audio and video entertainment, network equipment, control systems, auxiliary materials and tools, etc. Category will affect product screening, quotation statistics, order signing statistics and mall display.
Product brand
Product branding is used to maintain the brand to which the product belongs. Cloud product imports are usually imported by brand; contract signing statistics, purchasing statistics, and after-sales statistics can also be analyzed by brand.
One product brand can be imported during the trial phase; 10 brands are open for import during the official phase; if more brands are needed, product import packages can be ordered.
Product CAD Icons
Product CAD icons are used for proposal design and point diagram expression. Enterprises can maintain corresponding icons for products, which can be used when placing floor plans, displaying site plans, and expressing construction.
For products that do not need to be displayed in the point map, the display of the point map can be turned off in the product settings.
Company product library
The company's product library is for internal use of the enterprise and contains complete product information and order prices. Purchasing personnel, managers or employees with authority can view the order price for purchasing, cost accounting and internal management.
The company's product library emphasizes the integrity of internal operating data, so it is suitable for displaying information such as costs, order prices, batches, and inventory attributes.
Product library
The product library can be used for external display or sales selection. The order price is not displayed to prevent customers or channel users from seeing internal purchasing costs. The product library focuses more on sales price, market price, product pictures, brand, category and product description.
Level price
Level prices are used to set multiple sets of channel prices, such as ordinary customer prices, member prices, dealer prices, project commercial prices, VIP customer prices, etc.
After the customer binds the corresponding level:
- The sales order automatically applies the customer's level channel price
- The omni-channel mall automatically displays the level channel price corresponding to the customer.
- Enterprises can implement different sales strategies for different channels and different customer groups
Visible range
The visibility range is used to control product display permissions in the omni-channel mall. Enterprises can set independent visibility ranges for products, and different users can see different products after logging into the mall.
Applicable scenarios:
- Different product lines are visible to customers through different channels
- Some products are only available to designated customers
- New products, special offers, and engineering-specific products are displayed by range.
- Internal products, test products or special products are not displayed to the public.
Usage Advice
It is recommended that enterprises first quickly establish mainstream brand products through cloud import, and then use Excel templates to supplement their own products, auxiliary materials and non-cloud brand products. After the product is imported, you should focus on checking the brand, category, unit, price, picture, multiple attributes, SN, batch and point map settings.
If the company does retail, engineering, channels and shopping malls at the same time, it is recommended to plan the level price and visible range as early as possible. Only after the price system and visibility range are clearly set can sales orders, omni-channel malls, and product statistics be consistent.
